Chris Downey is a Marietta native and one of the many talented Electrical Service Technicians on the BriteBox team. Chris’ dedication, skill, and outstanding customer service attitude make him an invaluable member of the BriteBox team. Learn more about Chris and his work with BriteBox below.
- How long have you worked with BriteBox?
While I’ve only been working with the BriteBox team for a few months, I’ve been working in the electrical services industry here in Atlanta for 22 years. I started working for BriteBox in May of 2018 when Ragsdale joined the Wrench Group and the Ragsdale electrical department was moved to BriteBox. I worked for Ragsdale since December of 2016.
- What do you love most about working at BriteBox?
I love the opportunity to work in a trusted and open-minded environment with some of the best electricians around. BriteBox also allows me to have a balanced work and home life!
- What’s the most rewarding part about your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the smile on my customer’s faces when I figure out and solve their problems while also getting the opportunity to enrich their lives and electrical knowledge.
- Do you have any specific customer experiences that have stuck with you?
There are so many. To choose one is hard, but I must choose one that recently happened. I was in a garage replacing a panel when I heard the children upstairs complaining about not having TV or Internet. In fact, all power to the house was off. It brought a smile to my face hearing them cheer as they realized I had turned the power back on. Each one of those wonderful children thanked me! It warmed my heart to see the children overjoyed and showed me that I can make difference in people’s lives with my work.
- What are your hobbies outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to spend time with my wife of 18 years, Britney, and our four wonderful children, Chloe (13), Amalee (17), Tori (20), and Taylor (22). I also enjoy spending time with my grandson, Hudson (18-months).
